The first half of this year is all about things falling into place. It is like one of those sliding tile puzzle games you had when you were a kid. You know the one I am talking about. It had room for one more tile then the game held. Giving you the minimal amount of space to shift the tiles about, so as to line them up in way that made sense of something previously chaotic.

So how did you play that game? Were you determined to get it “right”? Did you sit for hours until you finally saw that what you thought was the solution, wasn’t going to work at all? Did you consider the game a waste of time? Or did the game make you feel poorly about yourself? Maybe you enjoyed the challenge of it in doses.

It doesn’t really matter how you played that game, but it might make life more interesting, in a way that is satisfactory, if you know how you are attending to your life.

Venus joins Mercury and the Sun in Aquarius today as the Moon heads into Cancer. Ah, the challenge of making sense of some deep, old family values about love or money and then doing it your way. This week, shift those old tiles around and see if you can’t take advantage of the opportunity to sort it out the way you want it to look. Funny thing about this, it is just like that tile game. You don’t know what the picture is going to look like until all the tiles are in place!

So how do you want to play this? My suggestion? Consider what you want and who you want to be getting what you want. Then go ahead and have a little fun with it.

It is life. It is meant to be lived.

I had a long drive early Monday morning, so I turned on SiriusXM radio which was tuned to The Bridge. I was tired, so I left it on even though the jazz station is my preference. It turns out that the Bridge plays mellow rock of the 70’s and before I knew it, I was singing. It felt quite good to sing, especially since I knew the words, but in a short amount of time I was feeling irritable, and even sad. The good sensations of singing had been overshadowed by the regretful sound of Jim Croce singing “Time in a bottle,” or the lonely cowboy sound of Don Henley crooning “Desperado.” I was confused. They were just old songs and it was so easy to sing along. But I wasn’t only hearing the music as songs, I was feeling them as they were associated with my own history. The songs were like a switch that turned on my own teenage angst of break-ups, the fear of not belonging, and the mixed-up desire to be noticed, but not seen.

My point? Pay attention to what is in your life. All of it. Pay attention to what is in your life and how you experience it. Are you experiencing what is there? Or are you experiencing a distortion of it, like me caught up in the idea of riding fences when I really prefer building bridges. Notice the vibrations you allow in your life and be sure that they support the rich and abundant life of health you want. Pay attention to how something can start out one way and end up another. Be on the look out for romanticizing your emotional experiences. Bring balance to the comfort of sweet sorrow, as well as the exuberance of joy.

And when it is appropriate, feel free to change the station. Life is about balance.

Last week’s practice of following the circuitous route of last week’s energy may have made you a bit better schooled in the eccentric, wacky, bizarre, and sometimes outright deceptive behavior. You might have done well if you stayed centered between what you thought you wanted and what you really wanted. That balance likely took you on the road less traveled. It may have seemed like a longer route last week, but it will pay off with this week’s energy tempting us to bound forward blindly.

You can go ahead and enjoy that carefree child-like energy. It is okay to be free. Do it mindfully and with good balance and you are likely to have the fun you are looking for. Go ahead and climb those steps to the high dive. There is nothing to fear. You know how to do this, one foot in front of the other until you find yourself at the end of that springy board. Feel it beneath your feet. It might feel scary and unstable. Breathe through the fear: in for 4, hold for 2, and exhale for 6, letting the fear go. Go ahead and go deeply into yourself. Prepare with all the confidence and trust in yourself. Close your eyes and become one with that springy board. Feel all the possibilities. Take your time. And I can tell you that it is nice to know when it is time to jump. And I can tell you that you know when it is time to jump. So when it is time, go ahead. Bend your knees and surrender to the spring. Push deeply into letting go with your toes. Lift up through your trunk (abdomen, stomach, chest) and rise to the joyous occasion of “it is time.” Arms lifting in take off, free as a bird. Go ahead and jump. You might even want to make a big splash about it.

This week practice patience – timing is everything. You can trust that if you are paying attention you will know when it is time to jump.

Would you be interested in getting a little extra energy?

I am conducting research on distance energy healing and am looking for 10 people to participate in a 6 week study. I am looking for people who have had energy work previously and PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ENERGY WORK.

I will be offering 6 one-hour energy sessions on Wednesday evenings at 10 pm EST. There is nothing for you to do and it is not necessary to be awake. The only requirement of you is to answer 4 questions in the morning following the treatment. You will receive a text or if you prefer an email to remind you to submit the information. The questions require very short answers.

In return for your information you will receive a one-hour treatment every Wednesday for 6 weeks. It is not necessary that you do anything for the treatment or during the treatment time. It has been reported by many people that the treatments are deeply relaxing and provide for deeper sleep. It can be utilized more powerfully with intention and attention, but is not necessary for the purpose of this research. The only thing required of you is to provide your feedback following each session.
