“On Top of the Mountain” by Tami Boehle-Satterfield

He told me I was almost to the summit.
He said he hadn’t seen anything like it in a long time.
“When you get there, look in.”
“You have to look in.”
“You have to look in
And s e e yourself,” he said.
“And then, you will know.”
“You will know what to do.”

S o I a m h e r e ,

At the summit.
And I look in,
And I look in,
And I can’t see myself,
And I don’t know what to do.
I can’t see myself on top of the mountain,
On top of the mountain,
I have made myself invisible.
